November Show and Tell

We have an interesting lineup planned for tonight's Show and Tell from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the HMS Beagle Science Store. -- Super Awesome Sylvia is planning to check in with us and talk about some of her projects. We will be showing one of her videos where she is working on programming an Arduino microcontroller.

October 2010 - Show and Tell

Setting up this month's Show and Tell took a few minutes longer to get equipment ready for our first live webcast. Curt McMillan and his crew tonight included Richard Brull, both seen in this photo. They regularly broadcast live at the Inventors Club of KC.

The morning started off a little cool and breezy. The crowd of kids and adults were having fun launching rockets. By the afternoon the crowd had thinned some.

Lunch Box Laser Light Show - Build Night

This is our first night building the project from Make Magazine #20 (Nov. 2009), the Lunchbox Laser Shows starting on page 110.

 

Maker's Night Out - Building an Audio Amplifier Circuit

For our Maker's Night Out on Sept. 14, we worked on wiring an audio amplifier onto a breadboard. We had a wide range of age groups at this session for a truly family oriented evening.

The schematic we used for our amplifiers required just a few components. A resistor, potentiometer, two capacitors, and an operational amplifier integrated circuit chip.

September 2010 - Show and Tell

This months Show and Tell explored an artistic theme from spray paint artwork to LED light shows.

Makers Night Out - Styrofoam Plate Speakers - Aug. 31, 2010

As Seen in MAKE

Last Tuesday we chose this fun and easy project, it's found in Make Magazine #12 on page 131, titled "Styrofoam Plate Speaker".

We had a good crowd of about 12 people including some new visitors who learned about us from the recent KC Mini Maker Faire.
