There comes a time in many projects when you need to weld parts together. Unless you weld often, you may want to get some practice or learn the proper techniques and settings for the type of metals you're using. The VRTEX 360 is a virtual realty arc welding simulator made by Lincoln Electric  - www.vrtex360.com. This machine simulates:

• GMAW -Gas Metal Arc Welding
• FCAW - Flux Cored Arc Welding
• SMAW - Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)

The welding helmet contains video display eyepieces that allow you to see the workpiece plus visual cues to assist in showing you proper weld angle, weld speed, proper distance to work piece and more.

Make:KC invites you to come out and get involved with our activities but we depend on help from our community of Makers to keep the group and activities going. We are expanding opportunities with projects and workshops at both the HMS Beagle Science Store and the BTC Fab Lab. Membership with Make:KC has benefits; our members enjoy a 10% discount at the Beagle store on many items.
